Kerala Ayurvedic Studies and Research Society (K.A.S.R.S.) is the administrative organisation of VPSV Ayurveda College Kottakkal and Kottakkal Ayurveda School of Excellence (KASE). KSARS was established on March -31-1976, as a legally recognized society registered under the Societies Registration Act, following the dissolution of Arya Vaidya Samajam . Both VPSV Ayurveda College and Kottakkal Ayurveda School of Excellence are managed by K.A.S.R.S, which in turn is guided by the dept of AYUSH, Govt of Kerala.
The Governing Body of the K.A.S.R.S. composed of five members nominated by the Government of Kerala and five members proposed by the Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal. The Minister of Health, Government of Kerala, is the Chairperson. The Secretary to the Government, Department of Health and Family Welfare, and two members of the Arya Vaidya Sala, as well as three members who represent the Kerala government, are part of the Executive Committee of the society, which is composed of six members. The Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the society are in charge of managing the day-to-day operations of the organization.
